We have a challenging and rewarding position in Bangalore, Karnataka for a:

Principal Specialty Engineer
Responsibilities of this position include continual engineering oversight and analysis for the TNS Design and Construction Standards manual content and manual update projects. Additionally, this engineer will provide technical support to advance utility system design/philosophy and operating technologies/application. Specifically responsible to balance operational, financial and performance reliability concerns with risk in the determination of approved distribution line asset materials and methods. Will be required to effectively identify and analyze issues and implement solutions on both a company-wide and regional basis. Engineering experience and practice with electric utility overhead, underground, or substation distribution experience is required in addition to minimum requirements.

This position has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing and coordinating project assignments. Plans and develops engineering projects which have unique or controversial problems and which have an important impact on the corporation. Work involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel solutions. Maintains contacts with individuals and units within and outside the corporation for action on technical matters. Requires the use of advance techniques with knowledge and expertise resulting from extensive progressive experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an AICTE accredited curriculum, or equivalent, plus appropriate continuing education.
  • Master’s degree in the field of engineering, math or science from an AICTE-accredited curriculum is desirable.
  • Requires 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Business acumen and strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Oral and written communication, team/project leadership, and personal/group organizational skills are highly desired.
